Baby Naming Ceremonies

If a religious christening is not your style a naming ceremony is your solution!

A naming ceremony doesn't have any legal status but is a wonderful way to celebrate your new arrival as they embark on their journey through life. A naming ceremony can be held at any time but they usually occur in conjunction with the child's first birthday.

As a naming ceremony is not a legal ceremony they can be as individual and creative as you choose. These ceremonies usually involve the appointment of a "godparent" or "guardian" to provide guidance, love and support to the child as they grow. In a naming ceremony many people choose to include; rituals, songs, readings, poems and provide an acknowledgement to grandparents and great grandparents.
